Betsy Kramer - Human Resources Consultant

Betsy Kramer has more than twenty eight years experience in the lodging industry and senior living services. She has worked for Marriott International in the capacity of Director of Human Resources at five hotels, including the Marriott World Trade Center in New York City. She has had multiple unit responsibilities for over fifty Marriott hotels and one hundred and sixty senior living facilities. She spent three years in the franchised hotel division working with over twenty companies, their owners and operators. In addition, she has been responsible for the Human Resources function for more than twenty new hotel openings and acquisitions. Betsy has extensive experience in collective bargaining, union negotiations and has led, and been successful, in three union campaigns and two de-certifications.

Betsy retired from her senior corporate position as National Director of Human Resource Operations for Marriott Senior Living Services in 2002. She is CEO of Kramer, Inc, a Human Resources consulting firm. She has worked with hundreds of teams over the last twenty years, and is considered an expert in team dynamics. She has been recognized as “the Best Employee Relations practitioner” and is in high demand for as a key note speaker and leadership development coach.

Betsy has a B.S. in Sociology from the University of North Carolina/Greensboro and has completed graduate work at UNC/G, George Washington University and Marymount University. She is adjunct facilitator for Marriott International and is a qualified in the Myers Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI).
